Beyoncé commemorates end of 2020 with never-before-seen footage of kids Blue Ivy, Rumi, Sir

Once again proving she has more hours in a day than the rest of us, Beyoncé shared a 2020 recap video, featuring her many accomplishments from the year, plus some adorable, never-before-seen footage of her and Jay-Z’s twins Rumi and Sir and daughter Blue Ivy.

In one clip from the four-minute video, 3-year-old Rumi and Sir sat in a golf cart with their mom, listening to her remix of “Savage” with Megan Thee Stallion.

“How do you feel about your summer this year? Did you have a good summer?” Beyoncé asked Rumi, who smiled and softly uttered something her mom took as a “yes.”

In another clip, Blue Ivy, 8, is shown recording her part in the song “Brown Skin Girl,” which would go on to make the little Carter one of the youngest Grammy Award nominees.

Among Beyoncé’s other major 2020 accomplishments: a Grammy win for her 2019 concert film “Homecoming,” multiple Ivy Park fashion line releases, the surprise single “Black Parade” on Juneteenth (to benefit small Black-owned businesses), nine 2021 Grammy nominations, and the release of her visual album “Black Is King.”

She also spent time and money helping those devastated by COVID-19, donating $6 million in partnership with Twitter to support testing, medical supplies and food, and releasing a rendition of Disney’s “When You Wish Upon A Star” dedicated to healthcare workers.

“2020 divided us and united us,” the singer reflected in the video caption. “Most could not see loved ones and we felt too many losses, but we were united by our humanity. This year for me has been about celebrating joy, chasing happiness, and living in love. As we all look forward and pray for new beginnings, my wish for you is that you honor yourself and those you love.”

She added: “Celebrate that you are an important individual who contributes to our beautiful collective. Here’s to a better and brighter 2021!”
