Maurizio Sarri asks to be released from his Chelsea contract after agreeing Juventus move

Maurizio Sarri has asked to leave Chelsea after agreeing personal terms with Juventus, according to widespread reports.

The Italian signed a three-year deal with Chelsea last summer but has fielded persistent questions over his future at Stamford Bridge throughout the season.

Sarri continually put the ball in Chelseas court, insisting that hed stay at the club as long as he was wanted.

But Juventus shock decision to part ways with Massimiliano Allegri changed Sarris outlook and Goal are reporting that the Italians agreed to move to Turin.

Sarris representatives had been due to meet with Chelsea on Friday in London and its claimed they asked the club to allow Sarri to move to the Old Lady.

Chelsea, for their part, are willing to let Sarri leave and the Blues could target club legend Frank Lampard, who currently manages Derby.



Sarris salary at Juventus is expected to be around £6m-a-year and Chelsea are expected to make a decision in the coming days.
