Maurizio Sarri has made Edinson Cavani his top striking target as he looks to upgrade his current attacking options.

The Italian boss is unhappy with the resources available to him up front and has grown tired of persisting with Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata.

Instead, he wants Paris Saint-Germain forward Cavani to join him at Stamford Bridge to strengthen his side.

Cavanis current deal expires in 2020 and at 31 it will likely be his last chance at securing a lucrative contract away from the French capital, and Sarri is determined to sign him, according to France Football.

While the Uruguay international would be open to a move away, Chelsea face competition to sign him.
