Jurgen Klopp berates Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain during Liverpool’s clash with Manchester United
Liverpool found themselves two goals down by the break following Marcus Rashford’s double.
The trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane failed to find their spark in the opening 45 minutes, while Liverpool struggled to cope with United’s physicality.
Oxlade-Chamberlain was another who had a poor first half for Liverpool, and the England international squandered an excellent opportunity to get Klopp’s side back in the game.
In the 37th minute, Oxlade-Chamberlain had the chance to play Mane through on goal but the midfielder’s pass was easily intercepted by Chris Smalling.
And during the next break in play, Klopp directed a furious rant in the direction of Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The Liverpool boss made it clear that he was unhappy with Oxlade-Chamberlain’s sloppiness in possession and his failure to put Mane through on goal.
