A much changed Three Lions side held the world champions to a goalless draw where five players earned international debuts, including Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Tammy Abraham, Jordan Pickford, Joe Gomez and Jack Cork.
The trio of Angus Gunn, Lewis Cook and Dominic Solanke will be hoping to earn similar honours tonight as they look to force their way into manager Gareth Southgate’s thinking ahead of next summer’s World Cup.
